Itchy skin rash is a skin disorder in which the rashes appear on the skin along with a strong itchiness in the area. Usually the skin becomes red and slightly inflamed. There are some rashes however, which do not provoke itchiness; a skin specialist should be consulted for accurate diagnosis of the disease. In this piece of writing we will introduce three most common types of itchy skin rash and their causes;
1. Chicken Pox: Chicken Pox is a serious viral infection. The disease was considered fatal before the advent of its vaccine. Now if properly taken care of, chicken pox is not life threatening at all. However, it does cause very strong itchiness and small dot like rashes on the whole body.
2. Athlete’s Foot: Very itchy red rashes form around toes in this condition. The only cause of this condition is fungus development in between toes, resulting from improper cleaning of feet. It can be easily taken care of with anti-fungal creams.
3. Ringworm: Ringworm is another skin infection resulting from fungal growth. As the name suggests it is often ring shaped and grows outwards if not taken care of.
